UPDATE: Operations of the new splash pad

Thank you to the community for letting us know how the new splash pad is working out. We are learning as we go with the timing of the splash pad. Right now if the button is pushed as soon as the 4 minute cycle ends, then it will start back up. If there is no downtime between the time the button is pushed, then the tank will be emptied a lot faster. If the tank gets emptied it will take 1 to 2 hours to refill and the system will stay shut off. We are working on getting this to work so that the wait time won't be that long. But in the meantime, please try and allow the tank to refill a little before pushing the button again. Thank you for your understanding.

Splash pad is now open!!!

We can’t thank the community enough for being so patient this past year. We know it wasn’t ideal to be down all last summer but we ran into issues that were out of our control. But we now have a splash pad!

The new splash does run on a 4 minute cycle. Just simply push the triangle on the green bollard near the bench. (You will hear an audible beep) then water will start spraying. When the cycle is complete the button is ready to push again. If you push the button and nothing happens, try a couple more times. If it still does not work, then the water may be filling in the tank. Please wait approximately 30 minutes before pushing the button again.

In the next couple of weeks we will be fine tuning the sprays.

If there are any issues or concerns with the new splash pad, please email us at lakebarringtoncparkdistrict@gmail.com.

Please enjoy the new splash pad! Please make sure to view all the rules of the splash pad located on the side of the maintenance room.

New windscreens are up!

We have replaced the windscreens on the one side and will continue to monitor the wear and tear on the others. As volunteers we try and come out as much as possible to make sure the wind screens are staying in place. We always appreciate your patient.

Have a fun and safe Memorial Day!
