At its September 17 meeting, the Board reviewed and had a public comment period for the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020. After the public comment was heard, the Board voted to approve the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance. A copy of said ordinance was received by Lake County on October 24.

At its Nov. 19 meeting, the Board reviewed the tentative 2019 tax levy, which determines how much taxpayer money the Park District will receive in 2019. The board has not requested a tax levy increase again for this year . The Board voted to approve the tentative tax levy.

The splash pad and outdoor bathroom are closed for the season. Stayed tuned for when we open them in spring 2020. Since opening and closing the outdoor bathroom depends on the weather, this spring 2020 we will have a porta potty from March 1st until May 31st behind the wall at the pavilion.
